LOUD Scholarships The Best Acronym Since OMG

The LOUD Foundation invests in future leaders of the Canadian LGBTQ community. We believe that by supporting the development of students who possess drive, vision, compassion and knowledge, we can improve society and increase awareness of our diverse community.

When the Foundation first started we gave away two LOUD Scholarships of $2,000 and one Little Sister's Bookstore Scholarship of $1,000. This year we are poised to award 10 scholarships to deserving emerging leaders So spread the word and join us! Applications are now being accepted until the last day of January.

Support Once A Year We Get Seriously LOUD

Our biggest fundraiser for the LOUD Foundation is the Annual LOUD Awards Celebration. A must-attend event, it celebrates the year's scholarship winners and the larger LGBTQ business community. Good time, check. Great cause, double check.

Named Scholarships Immortality, Or At Least A Few Good Years

Every year we give recipients LOUD Foundation Scholarships and a Little Sister's Scholarship. With our close ties to the communities we are keen to see opportunities for individuals and organizations to name a scholarship and determine what need it could address. Want to see a student in the creative fields get a leg up? Interested in supporting an aspiring entrepreneur? Talk to us about how we can design a scholarship that fits with your vision of giving back.

For more information on contributing to our existing scholarships or creating a new one, contact Caryl Dolinko.

We are heartbroken to hear of Jim Deva's sudden passing. He was an inspiration to all of us, a community icon and a longtime LOUD supporter. In his memory and to abide by his and his partner Bruce's wishes we have set up a Memorial Scholarship in his name. If you wish to add to this effort of remembrance and giving, please choose the Jim Deva Scholarship in the form once you click on Donate.
